Oooooohhhhh yeah! “Silence of the Lambs” is on a lot right now, and I take every opportunity to watch it, even just bits and pieces. After 25 years, it’s still one of my favorite movies. “He covets.” Such a simple statement, but it was the paramount clue.
Speaking of coveting (oh what a cheesy seque!), Aii and Ego are offering new horns at Fallen Gods, and they are divine! The Bento moth wings are a little gifty in the pack, and I paired them with other Aii releases to make a moth demon worthy of a little coveting. ^.^
Hannibal Lecter: First principles, Clarice. Simplicity. Read Marcus Aurelius. Of each particular thing ask: what is it in itself? What is its nature? What does he do, this man you seek? Clarice Starling: He kills women… Hannibal Lecter: No. That is incidental. What is the first and principal thing he does? What needs does he serve by killing? Clarice Starling: Anger, um, social acceptance, and, huh, sexual frustrations, sir… Hannibal Lecter: No! He covets. That is his nature. And how do we begin to covet, Clarice? Do we seek out things to covet? Make an effort to answer now. Clarice Starling: No. We just… Hannibal Lecter: No. We begin by coveting what we see every day. Don’t you feel eyes moving over your body, Clarice? And don’t your eyes seek out the things you want?
There is so much good stuff coming out right now! October is a month chocked full of goodies for my fellow SL shopaholics! The Secret Hideout sports a Gothic Lolita theme this round, and this nani hair fits that bill perfectly! Day of the Dead is featured this round of the Dark Style Fair, and Merlific’s new tentacle collar will help achieve your creepy outfit goals. Bound Box is every kinkster’s monthly delight, and Wicca’s Wardrobe does not disappoint with a color-hudded harness and lingerie set. And don’t forget the Darkness Chamber Fair! Lots of choice gems there, including some adorable slippers from Stelloane which has a big-ass spider stabbed into your toes (bloody foot applier included!)
THE NIGHTMARE EVENT IS OPEN! That is all. No. Seriously. That’s it. That’s all you need to know. ♥
“A long time ago, in the underground realm, where there are no lies or pain, there lived a Princess who dreamed of the human world. She dreamed of blue skies, soft breeze, and sunshine. One day, eluding her keepers, the Princess escaped. Once outside, the brightness blinded her and erased every trace of the past from her memory. She forgot who she was and where she came from. Her body suffered cold, sickness, and pain. Eventually, she died. However, her father, the King, always knew that the Princess’ soul would return, perhaps in another body, in another place, at another time. And he would wait for her, until he drew his last breath, until the world stopped turning…” from “Pan’s Labyrinth”
What is your substance, whereof are you made, That millions of strange shadows on you tend? Since every one hath, every one, one shade, And you, but one, can every shadow lend. Describe Adonis, and the counterfeit Is poorly imitated after you; On Helen’s cheek all art of beauty set, And you in Grecian tires are painted new: Speak of the spring and foison of the year; The one doth shadow of your beauty show, The other as your bounty doth appear; And you in every blessed shape we know. In all external grace you have some part, But you like none, none you, for constant heart. ~ William Shakespeare, “Sonnet 53”
